Rapido Sway bars

Post by victory01 »

Hi everyone,

Spoke to Russ today about sway bars.

He has front ones in stock but is out of the rear 19mm bars.

Gauging everyone's interest in getting 12-sets together? Vendors could also purchase. Reach out to Russ.

I'm in for one so we just need 11 more.

Wait time is 5-7 months which sucks but we have to get the order moving. all good for next summer.

Just chiming in that I love mine. The rear bar made a huge difference in handling even on the stock springs. If you can afford it go for it!

I feel like most folks would lean towards the 16mm Rapido rear bar vs. the 19mm one (?)

I'd rather have the 19mm personally, but getting 12 people in line for the 16mm would probably be an easier task.

Russ did this last year, we had to gather 10 people to pay half, or full up front and then he was able to get them done.
Took a while, not totally sure exactly how long, but they showed up and on the car shortly after...
Good deal!
Maybe curious about a front now...???

Ah, I just re-read this original post. 5-7 months??? It didn't take that long to do the ones last year, maybe 2-3months.

When I last spoke to Russ last month - Russ said that there wasnt enough interest in suspension parts from Rapido which lead to a number of the manufacturers that made parts for Rapido to retool and no longer provide the possibility for Russ to acquire parts for sale such as the swaybars and shock/spring packages they previously offered.

Russ said that if enough people started to show interest that next summer he might be able to get manufacturing of certain parts.

A few other manufacturers for parts and provisions had fallen away or has passed away so the parts were not available.

I was just cleaning up a rear 19mm yesterday here at the house. Fat 3/4 inch with some of the original gold paint still on it. You will have a lot of rotation at the track with such a stiff rear sway. Big difference going from stock 10mm.

Interesting. So it is a 1 inch hollow bar available in different thicknesses. I wonder how the 8 gauge version compares to the 16mm and 19mm versions.
