battery tray qustion
Can you take the battery tray out of our cars or are they welded down, mine is rusting away and I don't want it to rust threw.

Yes they are spot welded in. In order to remove it you have to drill out the spot welds!

If you relocate the battery, ground it to the chassis, and in addition run a ground wire to the front of the car then to the engine itself.

Yes. Because a wire CAN provide a better ground than a chassis made of steel. I measured resistance from front to rear at 0.5 ohms, which is technically not a good ground. Running a 4ga cable from front to rear (well my batt is behind the passenger seat) reduced resistance front to rear to 0.2 ohms.xrattiracer wrote:because a piece of wire is going to provide a better ground than an entire chassis made of steel?
