round tooth timing gears

Post by 85xr » Wed Sep 01, 2010 4:56 pm

found a set today, in a 93 ranger. they want $50 and i pull them. does this seem abit high? if the price is about right, im going back.
they also want $25 for a 2 belt serpentine crank pulley.
Brad, youre the JY expert, do these prices seem right? thanks

Yes, $75 seems like a lot for some pulleys and sprockets, especially at a U-Pull-It. And keep in mind, you'll likely need a slide hammer to get the hub off the crank, and the factory tool to get the timing belt sprocket.

i passed on the ones at the JY. called the local dealership, and they had the cam/aux gear for $18.62{but could only source 1}, and crank gear for $13.17. thats a whole lot better, + brand spanking new.
found the other cam/aux gear at a different JY for $10.70.
still need the 2 belt serpentine crank pulley. both JY want $35 for this. looking online for a better source.
MIKE, thanks for the link, after i get a walbro pump from MC2, ill be ordering the adjustable cam gear.
