Well, that's pretty much the intent of this thread. As you're finding out, there's a lot more "bench engineering" going on with this topic than real trial and error fitment. I certainly stand as guilty as anyone. I suspect the answer to your question is "yes", and there's probably more than one "yes" out there, we just need to find them. Ideally what we need is a XR without a bumper cover, a junkyard with a bunch of assorted bumper covers already removed, and a cooperative junkyard owner. Good luck with that tall order....SuperCollasus wrote:Hey. There is alot of " almosts " and " close to's " but I was wondering and I'm sure the rest of every one on here is, if there is something for sure that will fit this car, in urethane, that won't need anything more than fab'ing some brackets FOR SURE???

2 brackets up front, moding the side triangles, getting a bumper fitting kit, fitting the the RS500 requires further mods the the front beam. This is of course, if they are Real, and are fit the correct RS way and not the XR way.MerkXRTurbo wrote:What do you gotta do to put a cossie bumper on?fastmaul wrote:NOPE, Even the Cossie bumper needs slight mods to make it fit, and if you have a real RS500 front bumper even a little more extra help is needed.
FG you have to make your own brakets and fittings.

Since mine is rotted off, that would be me.

I was just going to go measure some and pick up the closest one.
It's 16" from the side of the wheel well to the end of the fender.
It's 19.5" from the side of the wheel well to the end of the metal reinforcement bumper
It's 5' from end to end of the bumper
It also needs to be about 14" tall.
I plan on going to measure up an accord one to see how close it is. If it's good, it's going on the Merk.

I was looking at some Santa Fe on the road today, and pictured the bumber on are XR and I think it will look nice, has those big round fog lights. and the big opening in the bumper for an intercooler.
And what about an EVO VIII bumper, nice big round fog lights and a huge opening in the bumper for an intercooler since it to is turbo charged.
