Aftermark Tach

Post by In XS 7 »

Hello guys I have another question: any kind of tachometer will work good on an XR or it has to be a specific kind? mine it's not working right and I want to replace it but I don't want to get a wrong kind. Thanks a lot. :cheers

Most aftermarket tachs just need a signal from your coil. I'm using an autometer in my car, but i also do not have the factory cluster in at all

Thanks Ray, do you know what kind of aftermarket speedometer can be use on the XR? I want to see if I can make a whole custom made cluster. Thanks again.

Well, a cable driven speedometer with the right pin size... I elected to not put a speedometer in my car when i put together my cluster as it's not street driven.

I am actually not certain what size pin input we need - i'm sure someone can verify. It's the clip on square, not threaded... There are a bunch of options...
