Spindle torque preload
I installed new wheel bearings in the front, but after torquing the spindle nut it is pretty difficult to turn the spindle assemblies if I hold them in my hands. Is this normal? It seems like they should be pretty damn tight given the need for preload, just not sure how that should translate into "tightness".

If you tightened them to the right torque spec, then you are good to go. Yes, they are tight when you do them but they loosen up after driving a little bit. You are supposed to replace the spindle nut every time due to the nylock inserts, from what I have heard.
