Body Kit...

Post by bremenx » Thu Sep 23, 2004 4:25 am

Does anyone know of a body kit for the XR4Ti's, aside from the Rapido wide-body kit (blue in pics on Rapido site), the Cossie parts, and the Erebuni wide-body kit? I've been looking for a "ricer" style kit for a while now, to no avail.

No I don't think there are any kits besides Rapido's wide body kit, and the cossie kits. But you can find a none merkur Bumper and make it fit.

It begs to be asked:

There's nothing else out there. You can adapt other bumpers (I used 1989 Accord, someone else used a Suby RS one..)

Other than that, you're screwed.

Well there is the old thunder saloon kit there are still a few available in the UK. Most are Kevlar so expect to pay around 4-6K for the kit.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Oh, I burst out laughing with that one. It just brought back so many pictures and memories.

But back to the topic. I used a Subaru 2.5RS bumper, check the link at the bottem for pics. It's alittle wide towards the back, but some fender flares I have planned will fix that.

Thanks Pascek and 88_WRC_Replica for the info. And Pascek, how much of a fender flare is required to make that front bumper fit snugly? It looks really good. I might just do that, and get other ground effects pieces later.

Ricer + Merkur dont mix. I wouldent call it ricer but you could look into buying a scorch bumper. I know where one is stilling but i'm not telling.
