ZF & TRW Rack & Pinion seal kit ?

i ordered this kit part number RB8449.1

I got the kit today but noticed on the bag the part number is SK-9120
and it states on the kit
RACK AND PINION SEAL KIT
SK-9120
VOLVO
940/960 ZFI 1983-92
SCORPIO WITH 2F RACK 1988-90

nothing about a xr4ti, is the correct kit?

I used this kit to rebuild my sons rack on his 1987 xr4ti from Rockauto.com. Worked great so far.

EDELMANN Part # 9105 Power Steering Repair Kit W/ZF Rack & Pinion Gear

There was 2 other kits on rockauto.com for the merks but my son wanted to save a few bucks so he got the cheapest one at $23.79.

Here are the other 2:
GATES Part # 348719 Power Steering Repair Kit W/ZF Rack & Pinion Gear for $28.89.

ACDELCO Part # 36348719 Power Steering Repair Kit W/ZF Rack & Pinion Gear for $46.89.

can anyone verify that the kit i got is the correct kit?

It depends on the steering rack you have in your XR4Ti.

The kit I got was a Kotek SK-8436, for a TRW rack on my '85.

I did get an Edelmann 9105 kit, but it was wrong, I assume this was for a ZF rack.

TRW racks are smooth, while ZF racks have a waffle pattern in the casting.

Hi all,

The Delco kit would be Gates in the box. Gates made them for them. Gates make lots of OEM parts in belts, hoses, thermostats, etc.. Good stuff.
