Mine are clean. I didn't see any corrosion at all around the lock.
It acts like it wants to turn, but things just aren't quite lining up.
I really think this is what's happening. I'm not very impressed with the keys I have.

Well, if Jeff's key doesn't work and you find your key, I might be coming to Kewanee.

Thanks! Might take you up on that if Plan A and Plan B don't work.

It takes a lot of patience and fiddling to unlock with a GE10 key. Factory brass key MUCH MUCH easier.
I don't know what a GE10 key is.
The keys I have are round... and they say "Made In China" on them in big letters.
IMO, they don't fit the lock very well... pretty sloppy. In other words, they're crap.

Jeff's key isn't factory brass, but hopefully it works a lot better.
I don't feel like drilling these out.
Those round ones are GE10 blanks they are a pain to get to work in the lock.

I found this out the hard and frustrating way... :thumbsdn
I won't be a bit surprised if these turn just like that once I've got a proper key.

Key arrived today from Merkur Midwest and the problem is solved!!
Locks came undone easily. Took a couple of minutes to undo all four.
No corrosion on the locks or the opening in the center cap, they're all in mint condition.

Then the old keys went straight into the trash bin.

Thanks for offering your key, Miguel! :cheers
My wife is looking forward to next Wednesday. That's the day my new wheels go from the living room to the car.

Dejavu in 2020. I got a 88XR this weekend. The car was parked 5 years. So 2 front wheels locks dont budge. I found a third cap laying inside the car that works wonders with the key I have. Sprayed WD-40 as hell and praying !!!!

My ultimate solution... a set of mint condition pie pan wheels.
No locks and a whole lot easier to keep clean!

I've got a good set of these wheels, with keys and locks.
If anyone is looking, let me know.
They've also got good tires on them...

Are the locks and caps off the wheels? I had a few extras here, just last week that wouldn't turn. I used a wire brush on them and cleaned all the corrosion off, put oil in the keyhole and let it sit for a night. Went back, blew with air compressor, use a pic and knock the crusties out and now it's working like new.

Caps on the wheels ! two of them. Couple of nights spraying wd-40 and trying and trying !
Perhaps it may be the wrong key. I do have one cap off the wheel that works wonders with the key on.

They're all the same key.
Meaning I could steal yours with my key, and I don't even know where you are... :)

It might be a bit more of a pain obviously since they're on the wheels.
The ones I had mentioned above were all corroded, and a majority was on the back side which you cant access.
If it gets there, you could probably cut the cap, save the lock and get another cap.
Seems like there are 5000 caps to each lock remaining.
Or you could buy my set of wheels with working caps... ;)

Mine actually all work fine now that I have keys.
I'm just not a fan of those wheels.
