steering rubber thingy

After nearly thirty years, when should we be replacing the steering vibration thingy on the lower steering column?

And what options are there to replace it?

Your picture is not valid... are you talking about the rag joint that joins the upper half with the lower half near the oil filter?

Is that what it's known as? I'm running a manual rack, so I have the shorter link.

Fixed the picture, but now I know it's called a rag joint, I can google it.

Order a poly replacement from Rapido. Mine works great!
