Master Cylinder Filler seal

Post by Swanny »

I've upgraded my brake system, Cosworth discs on the rear, 300mm discs with Mustang calipers on the front, later model XR4Ti master cylinder.... what about the rubber seal in the master cylinder cap? I think my brake system is sucking the local humidity into the fluids, giving me a soft brake pedal. Where can I get a new seal for the screw top lid of the master cylinder from Australia?

'85? It may be just a standard ATE cap. Try a BMW or Audi or a Saab.

As suggested above, it matters what year the car is and if the MC is still the original type. There are two types, '85 - early '86, and late '86 - '89.
