Euro/Horn Turn-Signal Switch Conversion

Post by itking »

I have successfully converted the Europe turn-signal switch to a turn signal switch to a switch with cruise control.

Here's some pictures & comment of what I did.

First it took apart the broken switch with cruise cause I needed the pin with the tab.

Note. You will have to drill out the rivits carefully. There are 2 other pins that each have tabs which can be used to make the same pin/tab combo. So 1 broken cruise switch can be used to modify 3 euro's.

You will have to remove the wire with a solder gun. Carefully use a Dremel to cut the bent metal piece out of the way in the channel the wire will follow up to & to also make a indentation so the tab will be flush with the plastic.

Waalaa! It works. The hazard switch is shorter, but that works.

I just have to put a "SET/RES" decal over the printed on horn decal.
