Front brake lines

Putting my car back together after a looooong break and confused about how the rubber lines from the caliper join to the hard line. I tried Google images to figure this out but most info is on PBR swaps.

The hard line coming into the well is a flare that I'm assuming goes into a female adapter.

I purchased new flex lines for the calipers from Autozone. These are male M10 x 1.0 on both sides. The non-caliper end is grooved for a spring clip to mount to the body. This is puzzling though because the M10 x 1.0 won't mate to the flare directly.

There must be an adapter that joins the hard and flex lines, but this would be female-to-female? I don't see any fitting like this online. Maybe I got the wrong flex lines?

The hard lines at all 4 corners are a female connection, so a Male on the soft line is required. Sounds like you have the correct lines. Do you have any pictures? Later cars got the extensions to attach the hose on the front subframe, while the earlier ones went through the wheelwell.
