What current UK diff mount matches the XR4Ti?
What current UK diff mount matches the XR4Ti?
Hi all,
I note that MC2 say they are out of the poly differential mount now. I am wanting to install one and see them for sale in EBAY UK. I know the Cosworth won't fit right but the others shown seem to be a match. Yes? (Poly only wanted, not solid, for use in intended daily runner.) I see all the other pieces I want at MC2.
Cheers

Agreed, it would be good to know. Maybe the Scorpio has options?
I am not 100% sure, but know that a lot of stuff from that vehicle will go on the XR.
So it could be an option.

In the listings they show XR4i compatible mounts for the poly diff mount. I believe those would work. I guess I can spend the money and find out. I see them for 129 Pounds plus shipping. I can even choose a color of anodizing, as if I care about that. I had not considered Scorpio parts. I will look into those as well.
Cheers
Oh, I just checked and I think they might be different:

Post up what you decide and how it works out. I'm sure you're not the only one thinking about this situation, so it would be helpful for future reference.

Yep, I'd love to hear how it goes. I have an MC2 mount on the one XR, but I was planning on buying a second for the other... some day! I just anticipated it would be another MC2 part!
Re: What current UK diff mount matches the XR4Ti?
A few years ago, when I bought a diff mount from mc2, they provided the same diff mount for both the XR & Scorpio. However, the Scorpio requires a spacer that they provided.

(x 2) The Scorpio / Granada mounts are taller than the XR4Ti / Sierra mounts. If the mount in the UK is for a 2 wheel drive Sierra it will fit the XR4Ti.

Interesting that's similar to the old-style MC2 mount and not the new-style one.
My old-style one lasted a lot of years but not a lot of miles before the poly failed and chunked apart. I bought a couple replacement bushings over the years.
