Cosworth intercooler

Post by Frag »

Does anyone know the demensions of a Cosworth intercooler? 2wd or 4wd. I don't care about the RS500 but if you know it might as well post it to the thread for future use.

Yeah i'm lazy though, if everything goes right I should be moving closer to him. I might just ask him how much he wants to sell one for but I was seeing if I could cheap out and buy a simmiar sized unit from a different appication.

I'll try to measure mine if I pick up my car later after work, along with my RS500 IC. I don't have the numbers for the 4wd one but I know it's a little bigger than the 2wd one.

It's a progression in tunning, it flows a bit more, as a matter of fact the 4wd was tuned to have more HP because of the extra drive train loss.

Here's the size difference between 4WD & 2WD Cosworth intercoolers (and to answer your question...)

2wd:

60cm long to its furthest opposing points
10cm deep (front to back)
41cm actual core length.

4wd:
11.5 cm high (top to bottom)
66cm long to its furthest opposing points
12.25cm deep (front to back)
45.5cm actual core length.
