XRBrati Underway....
I like to call this picture, "Jaws". Note the open mouth of the XR, awaiting to devour the rear end of the Brat.
No use for the rear suspension for this project however, so that will become a utility trailer.

Nope, that was just the Photoshop mock up. FWIW, this car would have otherwise been crushed by now, so I figure I saved one.MerkXRTurbo wrote:You posted a pic of one. I thought you had done it.DPDISXR4Ti wrote:Where's the second one?MerkXRTurbo wrote:How dare you cut up not one, but two XRs.
But just imagine if I did something like this to an SVO!
Yep, just like a P100, except I'll be able to find replacement tail-lights, bed caps, etc for it in the US! It'll be the only Merkur with a T-top!!!

By Bottle Hill Day?
Will it at least be in primer by the weekend for Bottle Hill Day?

Sure, I'll run out now and spray some primer on it.phild765 wrote:Will it at least be in primer by the weekend for Bottle Hill Day?

I've given a fair amount of thought to that very question, and I expect it to be close to a wash. Bear in mind, I'll be leaving the floor of the XR in place and the Brat bed will be bonded to it. Loosing the XR hatch will be the single most significant weight reduction.MerkXRTurbo wrote:Also, how much weight do you expect to shave off with dumping the rear end in favor of a bed?
Here's another shot of the Photoshop magic. I only wish it was this easy.
