Should I create a bolt-on kit like this guy does for the VW Jetta?

VW sold about a billion Jettas. We have 42,000 XRs. If you looked over the pond, it might make sense.

But it would be cool, and a decent way to keep some XRs on the road.

Ya basically all you would need is the XR drivetrain & the front half.

Damn, that thing is ugly.
Hard to describe, but that's as close as I can get.
That whole german car thing with the over cambered stretched out tire on ridiculously large rims look always annoyed me, worse than the whole (thankfully defunct) Honduh craze.
I can only imagine what a chore it would be to drive one.
The XRBrati is one for the win column, Brad.
I already said you should go into production Brad.
You couldn't possibly lose more than FLM did on the Merkur, and these days, I'm sure you would qualify for a bailout.

Would the assembly instructions be less than 49 pages?

I guess I haven't posted in this thread for quite awhile. Finally got the HDPE bed surround finished. Not my best work, but it's way better than the upward-facing pinch weld that's been exposed for the past several years...

Nothing terribly new or interesting in the MT article, but amongst the comments I found something I had not heard before - that Alex Tremulis designed both the Tucker and the Brat!
