I paided 800 for it. and only had to replace the heater switch,windshield,front rotors,pads,front springs and struts,condenser fan,turbo and the head gasket now. A bargin

Beside having the head gasket replaced by my mechanic , I have no time right now. I need inner tie rod boots . And a shift knob, the after market one keeps flopping around. Everything else seems solid. I need to replace the speakers lol they are dry rotted. I have the old ones from my son's talon sitting in the back till I get around to buying new ones. I did install a mp3-dvd player and a 7 inch screen. I drive the car 500 miles a week to work so its nice to be able to burn 1 dvd for music and listen to it for 6 months. The car has been really dependable except for the head gasket blowing . And it is better on gas than my 2002 dakota quad cab 4wheel drive. Whats funny is that I have more fun driving it than my motorcycle ,which I used to drive during the warmer months. I once did a 350 small block conversion in a short bed s-10 and I keep eyeing the merk thinking a 327 might fit

you can get the boots at advance auto / autozone / etc for like $30 for the pair i think, or less.

Welcome spektor. I picked up the Rack boots at autozone for i think 10 a piece. They are motormite units. Heres a pic. Searching on their website for that number lists a cosmos UF2020 for 9.99 each.

Where in CT are you located? I grew up in Canterbury.

Thanks for the info . I'll check and see if my local has them after I get my car back. town is New Milford. If you need some parts for that taurus let me know have one with a blown tranny headed to the bone yard in the spring. Was going to see if any of the parts are interchangeable with my xr4 besides the gas filter..

Nope its just the 3.0 auto. 1991 engine only has 70k but the trans went.
