Is that 2-part epoxy enamel, or did you find something in a rattle can that's close?

Have you had any of the cladding off yet? You may be in for a nasty surprise!

Single stage. Had the autoparts place color match the paint for me . 2 parts paint ,1 part reducer,1 part hardener. I have 4 paint guns , so no longer do the cans if I can avoid it. I have had some of the cladding off and found one hole about the size of a golf ball. I have a nice big roll of steel waiting for the removal of the cladding. I wielded the holes in the back and added some fresh steel in 2 places. Lucky for me the top of the fender wells seem to be solid. I will be doing more this weekend so will post what I find.

Ok found some nasty and not so nasty surprises. Found that I have a replaced front right fender, Moonstone blue I think . And a bit more rust than I hoped. Hopefully painting the drivers side tomorrow I'll post pics when I can, I just love working sundays. The color green it is now shouldn't be the shade of green it will in june. Time permitting of course.

Well demonfire I will help you if you want but do it for you err no.

And this is the car looked like when I took the cladding off.

And what it looks like with it after the grinder and a skim coat of puddy over it.

The chips are becoming a pain because I have to skim them so when I paint they wont be seen. I wish who ever had painted the car the first time had done better prep.

I don't really enjoy it just that I have to keep moving or I'll fall asleep or get bored. If I keep moving I seem to get alot more done.

Same here. Yesterday i had a couple hours so i pulled the interior out of my truck (it's an 85 F150), removed the vinyl floor mat, the underlayment (it was wet, which is what prompted me), vacuumed it, sprayed it all down with purple power, scrubbed it, cleaned it again, then put a full gallon of eDeadv3 (paint on soundproofing) in there. looks like a smurf exploded now. (the paint is baby blue)

Lol . Well if it rains this weekend I will attempt to clear the inside of my car and catch up on my sleep. If it doesn't rain will be doing the other side of the car or the back . Only have a month left before the ford nationals and even thought its not a show car I'd like to keep the laughting to a minimum.
