There will be a gathering at the Ford Expo near Columbus, OH at National Trail Raceway. Last year we had maybe 20ish cars.. can't remember exactly.

Here is an itinerary that the Capri Club published. We usually set up right with them. The Merkur guys will have their own plans, some of which will coordinate with the Capri Club North America.

Yeah, the Columbus event. 20-25 Merkurs last year....not a "huge" Mekur show, but they have a track there too which is cool. I'd like to see some of the PM guys (& gals!) run their monsters down the 1/4.

There is another event in October. The Euro Auto Festival is hosted by BMW Manufacturing in Greenville/Spartanburg, SC on the weekend of October 14-16. This show is growing every year and is limited to European origin autos. Here's a link to the website: http://www.euroautofestival.com/. Featured cars this year are the Italian marques. Show proceeds are donated to American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Autocross highights:

Saturday, Oct 15 - 9:00AM to 12Noon and 1:00PM to 4:00PM ‘ AUTOCROSS’ - Driving for the enthusiast. Test your skills on this challenging driving course using an automobile furnished by EURO 2005. (No kidding - BMW supplies the cars for this event! Drive a new Z4, X5, and anything else provided! We had Porsche 911's in the car pool a couple years back!) Priority will be given to pre-registered participants but there is always plenty of room for walk-ins. Meet in the upper parking lot of the BMW facility.

Sunday, Oct 16 - 8:00AM Registration begins for ‘SCCA AUTOCROSS’ - Drive your own car! This event is an SCCA sanctioned event and is for registered participants and walk-ins. Drivers’ Meeting at 10:30 and First car out at 11:00AM. $20/car for SCCA members and $30/car for non-SCCA members. The Autocross will be located in the upper parking lot of BMW.

Can't say enough about Eurofest. I've been twice and enjoyed it no end. Absolutely beautiful cars in a beautiful setting. Free for spectators but if you drive your Merkur, it's just got to go on the showfield. You can also tour the BMW factory on Friday if you sign up for the tour in advance. Great BMW museum there also.
