If you look close in the video you can see this wheel sailing over the two tents...

Fortunately, I was working a corner further up on the course, where I had sense enough to locate myself behind a bridge abutment.

Unfortunately, the first driver out was determined to set the FTD. One full barrel roll later rewarded him with a pelvis broken in 3 places - here's the aftermath...

The only serious injury was the A3 roll-over, but that was a (seperate) racing incident which can be tolerated. What happened between the Corvette and M3 was avoidable on so many levels. That easily could have been a multi-fatality, including the police and fire cheif. Both of them should have known better, but were out of their element and relied on the incompetent organizers to set the safety standards.

Since when do you have to have a youtube login to watch anything?

I read a few comments, and I agree, the word RALLY should be removed from the title.

Since the vid is marked as 'discretion advised' by someone, you need to log in.

Shaggin, doin it, horizontal lambada. Get the picture now

So how about someone hosting this rally vid, it sounds like it was one heck of a crash, and like I said, no reason for it to be censored.

True that Mike. It's clearly a TV production first, with safety as an after-thought. As evidence, I was THE corner worker on one of the more dangerous turns, and as such, the first responder to arrive on the scene of the first accident.

My training? A 10-minute meeting the night before the event and a Boy Scout First Aid merit badge earned decades ago. My safety equipment? A yellow flag and a radio that didn't transmit to the bottom of the course. Fortunately there was an ambulance at the top of the course within range to hear my "roll-over at 2" call.

im not so sure about the " pulled the e-break for a grand finish" if you watch real close one of the first things you see is his wheel flying threw the air and passing him. kinda seams like to me that he just had something brake wile he was comeing out of the turn. that dosent change anything, i just dont think that crossing the finish line sideways was a pland thing
