What was Mikey REALLY doing as he passed New Stanton!!??
Well.. as I recall it, I was standing in the middle of the restaurant talking to Mikey on the phone, asking: "where the hell are you??" ... just as he drove right on by.. and said: "Ooooops!"merkurdriver wrote: I think I was on the cell at the time and the CB was chattering away and somehow that blinded me from the exit. I saw the HUGE sign and said "OK - exit 57a"....but when 57a came along I decided to just pass it up...
But.. the question is: what the hell was he REALLY doing with that hot lookin wench sittin beside him!!??
OK Volks... let's get cranked and start talkin' CONVOY!!!
I just made our group discount deal at the TraveLodge in Huber Hts. today.
So.. someone order the BIER and we are ready!

Perhaps "Uh-oh" weren't the correct words. I thought this dude (:headbang) would have helped convey that it was a good thing. I couldn't however bring myself to assign this guy to the task... Knowing Jerry, I'm sure he would have just preferred a couple of these....Colin wrote:Uh oh, what?! For all of us non-East coasters the convoy is (more than?) half the fun!

Can you bring some BIER down from Minnesooohhhtah? I know they have some decent microbrew suds up there. Just don't drink it all on the trip down to Indy! Drinking and driving is hazardous.. you might have to pee in a bottle like the 18-wheelers.

It definitely has been quieter this year than last year. We had 12 pages of posts in the convoy thread. Every year (with the exception of last year) has a little less discussion than the previous year. I suppose that because we've done this convoy thing 9 times previously, we're getting to be pros at it and it doesn't take so much discussion.
Anyway, details about Thursday night at the Anglin's place are going to be posted shortly (to the convoy mailing list, not here).

Mighty I70/I76 Convoy
Hello all. We recently had the honor to haul some kick a@@ custom chrome wheels from Warren, MI to York, Pa. for Harley Davidson. As most of you know this took us right through our beloved Carlisle. So onto the update. 80/90 across OH isn't too bad some construction on the east side of the state. When we picked up I76, crazy construction from the OH side well into PA. When I76 and I70 join up the construction moderates a bit. Fuel prices were running near $2.89 a gallon for regular the whole way. So even though the speed zones were plentiful, the road is still quite rough. Hope this helps you planners out there a little. The non Merkur traffic may be a little heavier than usual. We went through late evening to early morning. Have a good one. We will join a convoy if at all possible. So if a white van all of a sudden jumps in no need for concern just us lol. By the way what CB channel do you guys monitor on the route?
Shane
