Just hurry up and get the damn Folvo running this Summer so you can have some "infant mortality" miles on it before heading out with it next year. BTW, did you get your 2006 "Long Distance Award" from Saul, or are we going to continue the tradition of giving you this award one year in arrears next year???

Mike, how do you get the battery out of the key? i got the piece off (press the merkur badge) but how do you crack that shell?
Once you have that section out of the key head, just "split it in half" along the seam with your thumbnail it will come right apart and then there is the battery that has been waiting the last 10 years to be changed.

Bingo. ;)

By the way... I still haven't paid my dues, so technically I'm not eligible for that recognition "award." :?

EDIT: I just paid my dues via PayPal. All is well. :)

In the Previa? You have to do better than a duct tape Merkur Logo on the front. Drop a 2.3 turbo into it at least!

I would like to thank everyone involved. I had a great time this year. I hope next year will be the same or better.

Hey Brad. I will heve to send you a fiberglass kit to finish the BOLD grill of yours.

All in all it was fun. I
hope to be alittle more active next year.

Sure Jason, just what I need, encouragement.

Good to see you, your wife, and the car that occupied my garage last Winter. Last I saw all three together we were all standing on the stage! 8)

Hey Colin, I forgot I owe you a kick in the bread basket for not having your car there

I wanted to thank everyone there for recognizing all the effort and work that went into building my car, I really appreciate it. I also wanted to thank the MCA members for an excellent dinner (so what I waited 10 mins for a plate from the kitchen  ), everything was so well planned and organized. I wish my union christmas party went that smoothly.

Great meeting you all again...

Thanks for making my choice easy Wes. I'm partial to anything that's been well and cleanly-engineered; clearly you were in a class of your own in that regard this year.

BTW, have you taken any pics of your bottom side chassis braces? I might be interested in stealing that design approach. Very NASCAR-ish, but in a good way. 8)

Great meeting George the Swiss born Dane from Holland! :?

Wilky called me a Bastard.

I was afraid to ask Taryn if she was preggers.

Congrats to Mark Howard on the MCA Rat-Rod award and Carlisle 1st place! :D

My brother Micah (Devil Dog) had a great 1st Carlisle. (His internet is down right now). He was embarrased to take his 87.5 XR to the showfield because it was not perfect. He received a 1st place trophy from Carlisle! Thanks for the votes! He met so many people and wanted to thank the many who welcomed him.

Hotel Carlisle

Post by StevenD57 »

OK, so we got the cops called on us again this year. As a result I vote we renew our contract with the Hotel for next year. After all look at all of the GREAT stories that came out of that. Next year we HAVE to video tape all of the great things that happen out in the parking lot!

BTW, now that we have the security guard so well trained (sic'em rover!) I think we should ask the hotel to make sure he is on duty next year too. :-)
