2.3L Fastener Torque Values <& Header bolt source>

Post by DPDISXR4Ti »

As pulled from the Automotive Component Engineering Site (http://www.powerbyace.com), who happens to be a niche supplier for some neat 2.3 engine parts. Go to their "Technical" section for the list below and some other useful stuff. I'm planning on getting a set of their low-clearance header bolts - pretty neat to be able to have the head size less than the bolt itself!

I can't tell you I've verified every one, but they look generally correct to me.

In the Ford Specifications 1988 Car for the 2.3 turbo, the only differences I could find were:

Main Bearing Cap Bolt 75-85

Oil Pan to block 10-13.5

Exhaust manifold to head 20-30

Add:

Turbo Nut to Manifold 28-40

I just thought those critical components were worth noting *shrug*
There was a few others that were 1 or 2lb-ft difference but nothing spectacular.

But I would always consult the proper year's service manual for confirmation :D

How about a length for those bolts? Specifically the length of crank to flywheel, and the clutch to flywheel.
