MCA Membership Renewal

Post by DPDISXR4Ti »

I know some of you were on the fence about signing up or renewing until we updated the dates on the web-site. We've now resolved that concern....

http://www.merkurclub.com/joinHow.htm

I'm purposely putting this in the Carlisle section, given the benefits afforded to MCA members at Carlisle. That's not the only reason to join, but Carlisle makes it a no-brainer.

For us rookies can you explain just what incentives a membership gets us at Carlisle?

It helps to make the whole damned thing possible. (And you get a goodie bag.)

Brad - is my membership going to expire this year? I can't remember if I bought a two-year dealie last year. :?

Can I pay you $x00.00 and get lifetime membership status? :D

Colin, you are good til 2009. However, the following memberships all expire on March 31, 2008. If you are on the list, you will need to renew now, to stay current. I suggest taking the 2 year option so you won't need to renew again until 2010.

Note, you do NOT need to wait until after March 31 to renew. Renewing now will extend your membership through March 31, 2009 or 2010 (if the 2-year option is chosen). Same holds true for new memberships; sign up now and your membership will carry through to March 31, 2009 or 2010.

Ian, you are good through 3/2009 since you took a 2-year renewal last year. I will check with Norm Tannehill to see if the renewal you just completed went through. I have not received a confirmation from Paypal on it yet. If it has gone through, I can extend your membership or have Paypal issue you a refund.

Too much info there for my eyes and brain to digest at the end of this day, and I think I clicked on Join Now, not noticing until later the lower options of Renew.

Oh, well...PayPal sent my dough, and it all goes into the same pot (it does, doesn't it)?

YMMV 8)

Yep, not a problem. It's just a trigger to alert Scott to assign a new membership number vs. update an existing one. I'm pretty sure he checks the existing members database regardless, so no harm, no foul.

That's an issue we had a couple years ago - need to figure out the root cause, as it appears to have reared it's ugly head again.

No worries though - it's only a "post transaction" issue with the re-direct back to the main page. I just checked and the PayPal went through.

If you can just make sure Scott (MagentaRed) has your correct mailing address, that will ensure that you get the newsletters.

Thanks Ian...
