For those of you thinking about coming in on Thursday, I've just come up with a full agenda for Thursday - possibly too full, but all in close proximity so it might be do-able...
Day-time: Harry's U-Pull-It visit Hazleton PA http://www.wegotused.com
Late afternoon: Centralia PA mine fire visit http://www.centraliaminefire.com
Evening: USAC Sprints & Tobias Speedsters at Big Diamond Raceway in Minersville PA http://www.bigdiamondraceway.com
It was just dumb luck that I stumbled across the info on the Thursday night race. And then it was completely random luck that the only night they're racing on a Thursday over the entire season is the day before Carlisle starts. Go figure?
The track is about an hour northeast from Camp Hill, so it would be an easy run down to the hotel once the final race concludes. Alternatively, we could stay in nearby Pottsville Thursday night.
Anyone interested? For anyone coming in from New England, NY, NJ, or NE PA, this is pretty much along the way in - about 15-20 minutes off Rt. 81 or 78.

Having visited Centralia a couple weeks ago, I can now say with a fair degree of confidence that trying to do all three of the above is a bit too optimistic.DPDISXR4Ti wrote:Day-time: Harry's U-Pull-It visit Hazleton PA http://www.wegotused.com

Anyone up for the races Thursday night in Minersville? The Tobias Speedsters are a new class of 4-cyl race cars...

There's also this track right in mechanicsburg (even closer to carlisle than Harrisburg):
http://www.williamsgrove.com/
I used to hear them racing when I was down there but I've never gone
Seems like they race on Fri/Sat so that could be another idea
IIRC they race pretty late into the night
