Roomies Thread

Post by yottabit » Thu Mar 12, 2009 8:52 pm

So I'm looking for roommate(s) because I'm a poor college student. Not sure how long I will be staying at Carlisle yet but at least a few days.

I get along with pretty much anybody and don't cause trouble. I don't drink/smoke/do drugs if that makes a difference to you.

I figured we could maybe use a roommate thread for others who are looking to room up too...

Dude- I think you might have just eliminated most of your potential room-mates with that comment! Not so much the smoking/drug part, but the drinking part. Didn't you know it's pretty much a requirement to drink if you own a Merkur!?

Hah, well I don't have a problem with drinking its just not my thing... and I suppose since I don't currently own a Merkur anymore I can scoot by the rule. Plus the whole being a minor thing can make it a problem sometimes.

I don't drink, either, but I supplied that Colt 45 to Sarah. Cheap entertainment. 8)

So rather than leave things up to chance I booked a room at a Comfort Inn in Mechanicsburg PA for Friday & Saturday

2 queen beds, wifi, tv, etc non-smoking

The hotel is actually closer to Carlisle than the Radisson most MCA members by about 5 minutes, and only about 10 mi from carlisle.
I'm familiar with the area so I can help you get where you need to be

If anyone wants to room with me just PM me

With two of us it would be about $125 for a fair split of two nights, if we want to take on a third person it would obviously be less

Thanks

I'm so excited to be finally going :D

Basically- they told me they could get me a room for the 5th only, single bedroom. Several of the other local hotels are even more booked.

It's only 5 minutes away from the Radisson (actually closer to Carlisle) and I don't see why I wouldn't be able to hang out there with you guys

You may want to keep checking back with them. Invariably, there are cancellations.

Room available or do you need a roommate??

Post by MerkurRS » Thu Jun 04, 2009 12:53 am

I am not coming to Carlisle for the three days I had planned on doing.
I have a room I am canceling on Thursday if you need it, email me at saul@merkurrs.com and you can have it.
I was going to share the room (Friday and Saturday nights) with someone, so if you want to take over my half, great!!
If no one needs the room, does anyone need a roommate?
Sorry guys :(
