i made it home safely... but i couldnt get any boost.

i think intake temperature has something to do with the way my car runs... on the way to carlisle it ran great.. when my intake temp was 60-75 degrees..

on the way back home it was hotter... 90-120 degrees... and i had no boost.

I think it was the extra weight of the Rat-rod award holding you back.

Arrived home about 9PM, just as the sun was setting. Damn, I've never been so tired. Might have had something to do with all the Advil I took throughout the weekend after splitting my head open Thursday. Note to self.... don't do that any more.

Made it home no probs, other than rueful I didn't sign up for the AutoX--which deffo was a highlight (the more I thought about and the AutoX course, an auto trans XR should do damn well up against the T9 and T5 XRs.

YMMV 8)

Both the VW and the Merkur made it home about midnight. Hard to believe, but both vehicles ran great.

I slightly regret not having made a trip to the hotel, but we had a ton of fun camping at the showgrounds.

Myself and Mike made it back around midnight. We convoyed with 2 XR's until somwhere in ohio then picked up two more a lil later but we split off at 30 and they continued west to IL. Only had one issue right when we left, my left rear caliper was dragging, so we took it apart, bled it out, cooled it off and all was well. I had a great first year and cant wait to do it again next year.

My son & I arrived home around 9:05 after six of us had a good meal at the Bethlehem Brew-works in Allentown. An annual tradition!

Bill Stobbe arrived to spend the night 30 minutes later and left for Boston this morning.

An uneventful trip - luckily!

Great seeing you all again,

Colin and his friend Paul rode with us in the mighty diesel (which I rode in as well) Valerie, and Dave from OH convoyed with us to Toledo where Dave split off, and the rest of us spent the night. Colin drove me back to Detroit and Valerie went back to Chicago.

Uneventful besides Colin blowin massive amounts of black smoke behind him ;)

We are all home safe, and now back to the mundane routine of our everyday lives :(

I miss Carlisle.

I don't remember when I got home...2am maybe? Took 80/90 west, following Colin.

Checking over the car when i got home, I was low on trans fluid and discovered it was coming out my dipstick tube and blowing back all over the exhaust.

At some point over the weekend my bypass valve started opening at 0 psi... So anytime I went into boost some air would just keep recirculating, probably causing it to run rich...which may explain my terrible gas mileage. On Friday almost 20mpg...driving home Sunday, 15mpg. :x

Then 3 blocks from home the TPS started hanging up. Good thing it did so close to home, didn't have a spare.

Being my first Carlisle, it was quite an experience. Not knowing anyone was a little awkward, but you all seem like a great group. Looking forward to next year! :D
