Ian- Sounds like your buddy doesn't like hanging with his fellow GT owners!
I think most of us are aware of where Bldg G is, at the Gate 1 entrance.
As I suggested earlier, we're mostly there for "us". I don't think any of us are counting on a bunch of Mustang or Fairlane guys stopping by to make the weekend a success for us.
FWIW, in general, we WILL be closer to the vendor area.

i don't know brad. rob m and i had no clue that building G wasn't on the showfield and i would suspect there may at least 1 or 2 others that didn't know that.
my other concern would be were all the rest of the cars would go. i seem to remember the parking lot outside building G wasn't really that big. so with 20 or 30 cars inside and room for maybe 20 or 30 more outside, where are the other 200 cars going to go if we have a turn out similar to '05?
this guy did say the diner across the street was really good though.

I didn't even KNOW there were Ford GT's (or any cars) in that building until I saw pics someone here posted.xr4man wrote:rob macdee and i just talked to one of the guys that had their ford gt at building G last weekend and he said it completely and totally sucked.
we looked at it on the map and it's not even on the fairgrounds. it's outside the fence. no one comes over there. he said he was bored out of his mind.
so, i for one vote a resounding NO for building G.
Then again, I didn't wander away from the Merkur area much...

You talking monitors here? That would be great!DPDISXR4Ti wrote:If I'm rememebring right, there were a couple ~30" displays in the showroom area that we should have access to - wouldn't even need the projector in that case.
That might be good too. I imagine we could put together several 8' folding tables' worth of displays.A display case would be a nice thing to have too - that might be something Carlisle could provide.

I would hope that before anyone said, "yea, great idea" or "that idea sucks", they'd know what it was they were referring to.xr4man wrote:i don't know brad. rob m and i had no clue that building G wasn't on the showfield and i would suspect there may at least 1 or 2 others that didn't know that.
I've been told that there is room for 200 cars surrounding Bldg G. In 2005, when the Boss Mustangs were over there, they had over 250 cars, and only a few had to be located just inside gate 1. I presume (if we go ahead with this), that we'd have a similar strategy if we go over ~220 cars, but that's on my list of things to discuss with Carlisle Events.xr4man wrote:my other concern would be were all the rest of the cars would go. i seem to remember the parking lot outside building G wasn't really that big. so with 20 or 30 cars inside and room for maybe 20 or 30 more outside, where are the other 200 cars going to go if we have a turn out similar to '05?
The other nice thing is that since we'd have our own registration and gate control for that area, we'd have Carlisle's assistance in keeping the area free of "Maximerkurs", "F150XR4", etc.

Colette, my wife just reminded me that our [B&C] 25th anniversary is next April. "She" said we might have a few "extra decorations" to contribute. With pink flamingo, palm tree, grass skirts & flowers this year, I can only imagine what she thinking for a 25th... Silver Glitter...
In event you weren't aware of this past weekend's weather in Carlisle = monsoon as it is continuing here in Allentown. With that cautionary note, how's the drainage around building G?
