Stuff missing from Carlisle? I'd rather not say stolen yet

Post by SvoSierra »

For me:

I had a prototype 150 MPH Mk2 speedo that I wanted Ian to test on Sat. It was still in development and had some electronics kinda hacked on it for testing. I left it on the table at the showfield before returning to the hotel. :beats head Anyway it's not a HUGE deal, but I would like it back. If someone grabbed it and was keeping it safe for me, thanks! PM me and we can get it back. And if you want a correctly built one once I work out the bugs, a discount will be in order.

Anyone else feel free to tack on this thread if you misplaced something too

I actually saw that late Saturday afternoon as I walked by to look at the Escort RS, figured it was broken and no one wanted it. Let's hope someone just picked it up for "safe keeping". If it doesn't turn up I may have a couple of old ones in the attic, I know I have a Sapphire one if that helps.

Like Wes, I also saw that sitting out there, and even kinda figured it was yours Brian, as I recall you mentioning that you planned to bring it along for the seminar (which sorta ended up happening Sunday mid-day).

I know a lot of times people leave stuff out on the tables that they're giving away, so someone may have just mistakenly assummed that.

I'd like to think the same for whomever took the banner down from the hotel lobby.

I spoke with the mgr on duty Sunday night and again on Monday morning. They knew nothing and even checked with maintenance to see if one of their guys might have taken it down.

I was just on the phone with the hotel and they have offered to check their two surveillance cameras of the lobby for the time that the banner went missing - they're actually somewhat excited to do so, as they've never before had a need. I told them to hold off for a 10 days while I wait for the banner to be returned anonymously to me. After that, I will persue the situation with wreckless abandon and I will show no mercy.

The banner can be returned to me here:

It's the big 4' x 5' one with the same graphic as this year's t-shirt - red '87 bi-wing (the give-away car).

Here's a pic of the banner

Whoever took this banner needs to return it. This was made for the MCA from me. I made those banners, and I would like it returned to Brad. They aren't cheap to produce.

And yes, it was hanging above the stairs, you had to look up (even I didn't see it the first time)
