Hotel Reservation Info
For the most part, nobody complains about the Radisson, so for 2011, we again return to the Radisson in Camp Hill PA (http://www.radisson.com/camphillpa), just outside of Harrisburg.
Discounted room rates are un-changed from last year as follows:
$109 Single or Double
$119 Triple
$129 Quad
To book a room at the group rate, you must specify that you are with the Merkur Club of America. Reservations must be called in using either of the following numbers:
1.717.763.7117 Hotel
1.800.333.3333 World-wide Reservations
(Note: There is no on-line option to make a reservation at the group-rate)
The typical Friday arrival, Sunday morning departure would involve a 2-night reservation of June 3 and 4 (departing Sunday morning, June 5th). You may arrive a day early or stay a day late at the group rate. Increasingly, many of us arrive on Thursday (June 2), and get a full day at the show on Friday.
I just made my reservation via the 800#, and had my confirmation details e-mailed within 5 minutes. Last year the hotel sold out of rooms and some people had to stay at an alternate property. As most of you know, Carlisle isn't Carlisle unless you hang out at the hotel, so if you plan to be there (and why wouldn't you?), make your reservation now.

Our block of rooms at the Radisson is nearly gone - get 'em now or you'll be sleeping in your car!
Furthermore, we're now inside of one month of the event, so there is no longer an obligation on the hotel to offer the group discounted rate. They most likely will still offer it, but if they find rooms are getting scarce they'll pull the discounted rate and no longer offer it for new reservations.
In summary, if you haven't already, make your damn room reservation now!
