Hotel Reservation Info

Post by DPDISXR4Ti »

For 2013, we return to our annual home-away-from-home, the Radisson Harrisburg (http://www.radisson.com/camp-hill-hotel ... 4/pacamphi), (actually located just outside Harrisburg in Camp Hill PA).

Discounted room rates are as follows:
$110 Single or Double
$120 Triple
$130 Quad

To book a room at our group rate, you must specify that you are with the Merkur Club of America. Reservations may be called in using either of the following numbers:
1.717.763.7117 Hotel
1.800.333.3333 World-wide Reservations

Alternatively, you may book your room on-line at the group rate using this link...
http://www.radisson.com/reservation/res ... e=PACAMPHI

The typical Friday arrival, Sunday morning departure would involve a 2-night reservation of June 7 and 8 (departing Sunday morning, June 9th). You may arrive a day early or stay a day late at the group rate. Increasingly, many of us arrive on Thursday (June 6), and get a full day at the show on Friday.

As most of you know, Carlisle just isn't Carlisle unless you hang out at the hotel, so if you plan to be there (and why wouldn't you?), make your reservation now.

If I said I was booked for both hotel and Carlisle events already, would that be showing too much eagerness? :D

Do you need me to talk to your officer about the criticality of your attendance?

Booked! Now I have to decide whether I'll be arriving in a Scorpio, an FJ Cruiser, or an Airbus.

Still figuring logistics to see if it will be a 2 day thing for me like last year or a 3 day thing like "normal".

I've been making it a 3-day event for several years now; actually 4, if you count my Thursday visit to the junkyard along the way. Friday is the best day to walk to vendor area, so it's good to get a full day there.

Like the Carlisle early registration, the discounted hotel registration officially cuts off today as well. At their option, they *may* still take reservations at our discounted rate, but they are not obligated to do so, and increasingly they are suggesting to me that they will charge the regular rate for reservations made after today.

The solution is simple - make your reservation today!
