The Euro Ford Garage Returns!

Post by DPDISXR4Ti »

Just confirmed, the Euro Ford Garage will be returning to Carlisle in 2020! No big surprise, Merkurs will play a big role in that, but there will also be Capris, Escorts, Cortinas, Anglias, Focus, and more!

Merkurs at Carlisle 2020 - this is not the year to miss!

I'll be returning too this year as Carlisle have asked me to speak again now I have my second book out. If you guys half-liked my Sierra history talk last year then I have a lot more left over if you want to see it!

I'm trying to wrestle out some unusual prototypes too for the day like the cancelled GN-34 supercar.

Thanks for agreeing to return this year Steve! Looking forward to V2.0 of your talk at the Radisson Saturday night.

Also, if any of you have a vehicle which you think might be suitable for featuring in the Euro Ford Garage, you can submit an application here:
https://carlislefeatures.com/inv/carlis ... ation.aspx

We will be working with Carlisle Events to make the selections. If you have a low-mileage/mint Merkur, or one that is in some way unique, please go ahead and submit an application. "Other" unique Euro Fords are also invited to submit an application. Sooner is better than later!

So I’m thinking of applying my car for this but it’s in the building for the whole weekend correct? I wouldn’t be able to take back and forth to the hotel?

Also you have to be there early and can’t leave till the show is over?

That is my understanding, PLUS you'd not be parked w/your Merkur brethren.

Generally speaking, yes. You do get a free pass for the weekend.

Well, I just filled out the forms and sent in the pics they wanted.

If selected, hopefully no one give me crap for driving my Chevy truck back and forth from the hotel! :D

Now that we have a more solid (re-scheduled) date, I can share with you that Carlisle Events is looking for a couple more Euro Fords to display in the "Euro Ford Garage" at the Carlisle Ford Nationals. If you have a Merkur or other Euro Ford that is special in some way, feel free to apply here: https://carlislefeatures.com/inv/carlis ... ation.aspx
