New Hotel for 2022 (kinda, sorta)

Post by DPDISXR4Ti »

The Carlisle Ford Nationals will fall on June 3-5, 2022, so get the date on your calendar now.

As many of you may realize, the Radisson Camp Hill property was sold last year, and while that initially raised some concerns about our return for 2022, those concerns are no more. Under the new ownership, the hotel has been re-branded Penn Harris Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham. After a lengthy negotiation, we have a signed agreement for our return to the property in June 2022.

This year, anyone registering with the Merkur Club will get a hot breakfast buffet (for up to two people/room) every day at no additional charge! Our discounted room rate is $119 for a Single or Double bed room. I have blocked out mostly double-bed rooms as that provides the best rooming flexibility, but as always, first to make reservations get the best choice!

To book a room at the group rate, you must specify that you are with the Merkur Club of America using the group code "060222MER". Reservations can be called in using either of the following numbers:
717.763.7117 Hotel
(888) 838-8306 World-wide Reservations

Alternatively, you can make your reservation on-line via the link below. Just be sure to indicate the group code 060222MER to get the discounted rate and free breakfast.

Here's an alternate link for the property if the above one is too long to cut & paste...
https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/trademark From there, just navigate to the "Book" button and search for the Camp Hill PA property.

For a Thursday night arrival, Sunday morning departure, you'd want to make a 3-night reservation of June 2, June 3, and June 4 (departing Sunday morning, June 5). You may arrive a day early or stay a day late at the group rate. Of course, you can stay for two or even just one night, should you so desire. If for any reason you need to cancel your reservation, you may do so at no charge before June 1.

It is in your best interest to make your reservation early. In past years we have run out of rooms and some folks needed to stay an alternate properties. That's a bit of a buzz-kill for everyone. As most of you know, Carlisle just isn't Carlisle unless you hang out at the hotel, so if you plan to be there (and why wouldn't you?), make your reservation now.

It looks like the above deal with the $50 credit has expired, but you can still sign up for the Wyndham Card and the 30,000 bonus points still apply.

Otherwise, sit tight and you can see if some new deal comes up. It's likely to be referenced on this site:

Keep in mind, there's no need to make your reservation with the Wyndam card, so go ahead and do that now regardless. Rooms are already being reserved well ahead of last year's pace.

Hey Brad,

can we add a roll away bed with the online reservation at the hotel?

Thanks,

I would call the hotel directly for that. If you don't get anywhere, ask to speak to the front desk manager, Cheranda Parks-Taylor.

The hotel is currently sold out of Double-bed rooms and has only a couple rooms left with single King beds. If you're thinking about going, make your reservation now. Indeed tomorrow may be too late.

Also, if you currently have a reservation with two beds (that was the default, so most are) and you would prefer a single king, please drop me a message.

I just got off the phone with the hotel and there are now 3 King rooms available. <Edit, 5 minutes later, now just 2> Grab them while you can.

Be sure to CALL the direct number 1-717-763-7117 and make sure you mention that you are with the Merkur Club. Or, NO ROOM FOR YOU!!!

It would appear the 3 rooms that were available have been scoffed up, but there may still be hope as a couple rooms that were having HVAC units replaced may be made available within the next couple days. If you are told "no rooms available", I've been given clearance for you to call the sales mgr, Katee, directly at (717) 433-9714. She will probably be able to hook you up.
