Yeah I know, the article said the reserve was something above 25k, and it didnt sell.
I am wondering about the door mod itself.
I'd settle for upward swinging doors, like a DeLorean or Lambo though :P

I wonder how much weight this mechanism adds to the car. :?
3" mandrel bent exhaust, Ported/Polished head, 1.89/1.57 valves, Gutted uppper/Knife edge lower intake, T3/T4, LA3, Big VAM, Cold air intake, 40bob header, Gillis valve, Forge BOV, Mustang SVO T5, Conquest intercooler, 20psi.

You know the XR is already 400+ lbs lighter than cars of comparable size!!

I would say all that CO2 crap and valvling, arms and spools of pull-strand etc etc.. at least 150lbs :lol:

From a practial standpoint, the trunk space it eats up would be more of a concern than the weight. It is a Lincoln, after all. :lol:

I can't imagine that thing got any serious consideration as something that could be put into commerical production. They probably just had some exces R&D money to spend that year.
