10 holes on a merkur... pictures this time

Post by Garret »

Put the summer wheels on the car today... I still gotta paint the back ones yet but i needed to take off the studded tires so I just slapped them on. The rear tires are whatever because they will just be abused, but the fronts are Yoko AVS100s. I personally love the 10 hole mustang rims in flat black.

It also turns out that the vagueness in the front of my car was the crappy winter tires because with these Yokos on there it feels like a totally different car. Which is much better than the bushing being shot, i am going to put in my poly bushing kit this weekend and possibly hard mount the rear... we'll see how adventurous I am feelings

They also look prety good in White!
Sorry but that's the only pic with the winter tires on. All our gravel tires are on 10 holes also.

Awesome! I used to have an all-out obsession with 10 holes and everyone thought i was crazy. I was even close to having a set widened to 10 inches for the back of the Mustang but i never made it happen.

Here's the Mustang back in the day with'em. I painted them with Dupli Colour high performance wheel coating...they looked pretty sweet.

I'd consider those to be "medium brakes," Mike. ;)

OK!
My new setup (available soon) will use 300mm rotors... Not quite your Cobra setup, but this way I'll only have to swap rotors and adapters. No having to get new crush washers and bleed brakes. :D
I'd have used my adapters and Cobra calipers, but I still like to run 15s for auto-X and lapping days. Hopefully the new 16s will fit over the 300mm setup.

I kinda like them better with the center caps...i liked them without them on my Mustang. They look real tasteful and "OEM".

Get 'em while you can... Nobody seems to want them, well, outside of the XR community, and the price of scrap aluminum is rising. :?
