Idling strangeness, skipping, etc? {solved 11/26/08}
Idling strangeness, skipping, etc? {solved 11/26/08}
So it's been getting colder here in Ohio, and everytime I start my car now, it starts with a sort of skippy idle, and sits for about 30 seconds before the idle turns normal and I can drive off.
I attributed this to the cold, thought, no big deal.
Well, the problem has since gotten worse, it now takes nearly 3 to 4 minutes to get to a normal idle, and if I rev the engine at all before then, it skips and skips and skips.
And even after I get it to normal idle, when I put it into full boost in any gear, I'll get intermittent skips.
Would a bad turbo gasket cause this kind of problem? Or is it something more serious than that?

I have one, the factory one in fact. But thanx
I know that alot of more modern cars have both, as I am a professional service technician, but I didn't know something this old had both.
