2004 Carlisle Award Winners
2004 Carlisle Award Winners
Carlisle Productions Award Winners:
The following are Carlisle Productions Award winners. These are judged by a 'Public Opinion' ballot vote to determine the best car in each class. The "Fun Field" awards are then made in a drive through award ceremony at the main grandstand on Sunday afternoon. It's quite a sight to see several hundred best in class cars drive in front of the stand and get their award from Bill Miller.
Congratulations to all:

PS: Over the nine years of Carlisle shows, we have amassed a large database of both IMON/MCA award winners and Carlisle Productions award winners. I have done my best to organize these and display them on the web site, but the list is not complete. Is there someone who will volunteer to organize both the Carlisle Productions 'Fun Field' awards and the IMON/MCA awards? We may need to contact Carlisle Productions or search the old IMON list archives to fill in the missing data.
Contact me if you are interested.

Carlisle MCA Award Winners
MCA Award Winners:
George Schults and the team of judges did a great job on Saturday and 23 awards were handed out at the banquet. The innovative engineering and high standard of cars made the selection difficult and it's amazing to see pristine cars show up at Carlisle for the first time. Al Lim's 12,000 mile Scorpio and Dave Godfrey's V6 conversion are just amazing.
Daniel West put together a presentation for the awards dinner so attendees could see pictures of the cars as the prizes were announced. This presentation will be on the web site soon so everyone can see pictures of the winning cars.
Congratulations to all the winners and a special thanks to Larissa Khemsurov for all her work at the tent over the years. Larissa, from Miami, was the first recipient of the Eve Ziminski MCA Spirit Award.

I'd have to say I almost fell in love. A cute girl Merkur owner that seems very close to my age, with a nice award winning XR. What more could I ask for?Ed Lijewski wrote:"Best Work In Progress Sarah Rutherford"
Gotta agree with that!
[P.S. How did her car do?]
I was disappointed that I didn't get to mingle, meet, and congratulate as many owners as I would have liked to...tight schedule. But I did meet few over the Saterday. Next year will be different when I'll have more time and my XR with me!!

I think pretty much anything is possible. More often than not, we make the rules up as we go!mhamilton wrote:The MCA could add another award, Merkur Family of the Year Award. I think the Rutherford family would be the 1st winners. Plus they had "ford" at the end of their name. Can a whole family receive the MCA member award?

Great; we've been waiting to hear that.DPDISXR4Ti wrote:I think pretty much anything is possible. So, how 'bout adding some new classes to the runway, er, show field competition?
For example, the obvious one would be "Ms. Merkur".
Or, to differentiate a bit, Ms. Scorpio, and Ms. XR.
Then, picking up on how the showfield competition is organized, we could have Ms. Merkur, 1985, Stock (original, with tummy and cellulite).
And, Ms. Merkur, 1985 Modified (boob job, nose job, liposuction, e.g.)
And so on....
I bet we'd even draw contestants from the crowds at the other Ford marques present at Carlisle. The mind boggles at the potential.
