Anyone watching the World Rally Championships on HD Theater?

Post by FocusSVT »

Just curious if I was the only one watching these crazy people race across all sorts of terrain at insane speeds? This and Storm Chasers have become my guilty pleasure for TV shows on Sunday nights.

I'm enjoying it this season on Sunday night. Luckily for me nothing else is on TV that my wife wants to watch after having Football on most of the day on Sunday.

Yeah, I'm DVRing it, then sneak home for lunch early in the week to crank it up. Fun stuff. I'll take every opportunity to watch turbocharged compacts doing 120 on hilly, 1-lane gravel roads!

I've been watching WRC since 2002 (internet). How much better does it look in HD? Most of the in-car shots are blurry at best anyways.

WRC in HD

On HD it only gets blurry when they're rolling over or hit something. Do you have an HD TV to watch it, so much better than regular TV.

I have the tv...just no signal. I've been contemplating signing on to the HD service, but the last thing I need is more tv to watch lol.

Well with winter approaching, I find myself parked more in front of the TV so having it available makes it more enjoyable.

At this point HDTheater is almost doing a better job being SPEED TV than SPEED TV is. Hell if they'd add in a main line US series like Rolex or ALMS it would be perfect.
