Give me a model/year it's used on.

Since I'll have black trim regardless, I'm thinking it would look something like this....

Brad - 2010 mustang, but i'm talking of that mixed with some custom bits to make a wicked color.

I just spent the last couple hours reading all 41 pages and it was well worth it

I remember Brad telling me about this project almost 10 years ago!

I can't wait to see it at Carlisle 2012. It's going to done by then, isn't it? Isn't it?!

It's very visually pleasing with the XR body line carried all the way through. Early in my reading I was imagining that you'd remove the Brat line and keep the XR line where it stopped. But this looks so much better!

As for paints, I like the Ford competition orange. It's a bit gaudy but combined with the utilitarian ute look, it's a push.

Someone mentioned World Rally blue and I think that would look good too, especially with the Subaru provenance. Then again that paint color is a dime a dozen now with the flood of Subarus in the US. That Corvette blue isn't bad, just not my thing.

My personal favorite color is Subaru "Willow Green Opal with Moss Green Metallic" (there's got to be a shorter name for it but I don't know it). I've got it on my Outback with gray cladding. Brightens my day whenever I see it.

Whatever color you end up painting it.. I can't wait to see the final product

Indeed you almost supplied the donor for it! When all is said and done, there's certainly a few parts from your old black car which will have found their way into this one.

Yes, it will be there. I'm thinking I'll be going "dark" on all updates until then - gotta have some surprise factor, ya know?

The possibilty of any loose metal parts near those exposed battery posts seems risky. Doncha have a cover-case for the battery?
