Hi I just bought another XR4Ti,it is in a bad shape but that's ok,in this way I can work on it and learn about this great cars, plus I will be proud of it when I get it done.(with the help of all of you). I want to fix the black one first and then the red one. I know they look more like parts cars but I will do all I can to make great changes on them, it is just a matter of time and dedication. OK, I'm trying to post some pictures from the photobucket web page, but believe it or not,I don't know how,(not yet anyway) I will keep trying. Yesss!!! I got it :haha , here are the rest of them : http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... 0_0088.jpg, http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... 0_0089.jpg , http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... 0_0090.jpg , http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... 0_0091.jpg , http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... 0_0092.jpg , http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... 0_0093.jpg , http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... 0_0094.jpg , http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... 0_0095.jpg , http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... 0_0096.jpg , http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... 0_0097.jpg , Oh my God,I just find out that I should just put one of them and you can look at all as an album, sorry about it,I'm learning,I don't gonna do it again. Promise. One or two pictures are very small size,it's before I sand the hood and put some primer on it, I will paint the whole car as soon as the snow go away. I will keep posting pictures of the progress and keep asking questions as well, cos I need some directions on how to do the mods and where I can get the parts for it,sorry about the long post,I will keep them short.

Congratulations on the purchase. You will learn a lot about these cars. The XR is a great machine. Your pictures didn't show up on your post. I don't think you can post them directly to this website. I host my images on photobucket and link them over here. I am sure there is a FAQ somewhere on this site to explain it. Anyway, welcome aboard and good luck!

Thank you, I don't know how to make the pictures to show on the forum, but when I click on the links it open the photobucket page and the picture can be seen, I'm not sure if everybody can look at them, but I do, I will keep trying to see if I found a better way to post the pics. By the way I just look at your scorpio and I like that car, it's a nice one. Congratulations to you too. :cheers

Looks like the red one has a bit of rust coming out from the cladding on the drivers door and fender.

Hi guys, Thank you for your comments and thank you Mike for your help on posting the pictures of my cars, I had a very hard time with it. And yes the drivers door it's in a very bad shape,I will sand it,put some compound on it,primer it and paint it,just a quick fix on it for now so it don't get any worse, I will fix and paint the whole car get a different door and anything else that need to be change but I want to fix the black one first. By the way,I have a question: If I gonna do the T5 swap,is there any one piece drive-shaft that I can use for it with out the need of cut,I know I will need the adapter, but do I have to cut it too?. (sorry I think this is not the right topic,I will post the rest of the questions on the right page with the right topic, just for this one time, let me ask it here,I will learn how to use the forum in the right way). Thanks again to all of you for the help. P.S. Mike I think I will be buying a lot of things from you,I want my XR4Ti to be a beautiful one, that kind of car that make people turn, and confuse them when I live them behind, :D

You can use a Mustang one piece driveshaft with the 460machine adapter: http://460machine.com/DriveShaftAdaptorInfo.html

There is also a complete T5 swap kit listed in the classifieds right now for a pretty good price FYI.

Hi guys, I just realize that I need to keep posting on this thread all the progress that I am getting on my car instead of having a lot of different new posts (I am sorry about that), so I will try to only post here from now and then.
Here are some pics about some rust on the spare tire well that I found and fix( I want to redo the whole tire well later but for now it will do it)not the best fix, just a quick one.

Please don't look at my welds this is the first time I am welding with a small 110v welder, flux core and not gas, plus it wasn't my welder and I need to return it to my friend very quick so, no time to practice and I always weld with industrial size welders, gas and thicker metal, this was a complete different experience  , I want toget me one of this little welders and try welding with gas to see how many thing I can fix, rebuild and fabricate with it, I love to weld.

I've played around with extensions on mine and ended up using a standoff with extra threaded rod. Got me where I needed and looks a bit cleaner. Both work though.
