Anybody going on the Port Townsend cruise this year?

Post by acincys »

I plan on taking my baby out for the very first time! I don't want her to feel lonely and outta place.
If anyone is, we should assemble a pre-meet and cruise to the starting location.

When is it? I'd love to take the Merkur out. Just need to get it put back together first...

I am still planning on it. Taking the VW, dont want to put that much wear on my rather expensive sticky autocross tires on the XR.

I'm still planning on jumping in as things roll through Bummertown, @ $4.15/ gallon I can't justify driving all the way to PIR and all the way back then on to PT.

fyi if people havent been watching the vortex thread:
"Combine the current 10-day forecast with news about Memorial Field already being a "wet sponge" as of a week ago, there's a chance we're looking at a re-schedule for the 2012 Port Townsend Cruise. The back-up date of April 28th is still in place and we will make a formal announcement on Monday, March 26th to confirm if a re-schedule is indeed happening. Be sure to check back then so you don't end up showing up to an empty (and wet) parking lot! Thanks in advance for everyone's understanding."

Thanks Jason, I haven't been watching there, I guess I ought to do so.

I suppose that if that fails we could gather at TRMP on Sunday to hang out and watch the go fast cars, I could probably arrange some merk-only parade laps too (no passing the E-truck! :P )

Boy was that ever the biggest waste of time ! Once again it appears that I was the only Merk in attendance, and if there was another I'd have never known. There was NO orginization whatsoever on the PT end from the organizers, the stadium never opened so there ware cars scattered out all over town. Achtuning didn't even show up until almost 2.5 hours after the first cars started arriving. Pretty darn pointless, never again!
