what Ford rear calipers are people using?

Hi guys,
I have the rear caliper adapter plates from David Godfrey that use the 11" Contour SVT front rotors. I know people have mentioned T-bird and Lincoln LS but are there other models out there that might be a bit better?

Rear Scorpio brakes are the same as rear Cossie brakes-- designed for this chassis-- check out Mike's page:

This is the route I'm gathering parts to take-- haven't done it yet, but I know there's more than one way to skin this cat.

PBRs with Contour rotors in the front, T-Bird calipers and rotors on the back.

The rear vented system is all 88 T-Bird the calipers cross reference with 92 Taurus, Sable but you have to use the T-Bird Rotors.

The Cossie/Scorpio rears are ~25% lighter than the T-Bird setup as well.

wait, why do the calipers have to be installed on the opposite side? Does that mean the bleeder nipples are on the bottom so the calipers have to be removed for bleeding?

I'm confused

You may know this already but with those adapters you will have to turn down the rear hubs as well. I have them on mine with the same rotors on the front and PBR calipers. I also made some custom spacers because the contour rotor hat being so thick only leaves ~.180" sticking past the rotor face. When that happens the wheels arent hubcentric anymore unless you do custom spacers or something else.

If memory serves me right I used a lincoln rear caliper I think its the continental model ~90-92.

yep I already have the rear hub turned down, I'm a bit bummed that the calipers have the bleed screw in the wrong position. Has anyone tried switching around the bleed screw with the hose inlet?

Has anyone looked into the Explorer/Mountaineer rear calipers? They are decently sized and extremely abundant in the junkyards or auto parts store. I should have done measurements when I changed all my pads a couple months ago on my mountaineer.
