From what I've read, boost hits around 3500(I think) but will push up to about 35psi and pulls like a freight train...

Robert Urfer wrote:Hey Mike,

What is the advantage of the HY35 turbo?

More power? Is it full of lag?

I am in the engine build stage now of my car and i'm looking for some ideas.
More power... more efficient power to be more specific. Full boost potential at 3600 RPM with good airflow in and out of the cylinder head. ( Keep in mind, the stock XR only gives 10 psi until the computer activates be BCS to 15 psi beyond 4200 RPM ). HY35 are happy to go up to 30 psi + reliably all day -- this turbo is capable of delivering double the psi over the stock T3 at the same RPMs.

Here's an XR dyno run with the HY35 putting down 322 HP to the wheels and and 361 TQ. This is a daily driver with a STOCK VALVE SIZE cylinder head.

Does that aftermarket hy35 come with any warrantee of any kind? Maybe a year or two or anything. Does it use a holset centre section? Curious for rebuild-ability.

I got a spare e6 (my current ported e6 is cracked) I can throw on out on this hy35 with the matching downpipe from you and that would be pretty good for 18 psi. What about oil lines? Do you recommended stingers holset braided return line? Already running a braided feed line and think that should still work.

90 day turbo warranty with (crossing my fingers) everyone properly installing it as a new turbo; removing the coil wire and cranking the oil pressure up and lubing the turbo before first start-up, etc. etc. I will stock rebuild kits soon as well, FYI.
The stock oil drain line will hook right up to this turbo and that's what I'm running on one of the cars here. The oil feed is one size up if I remember correctly - if you already have a braided feed line you might need an adapter from stinger at most.

NEW Style Ford logo XR4Ti Key Blanks:

NEW Style Ford logo Scorpio Tibbe Key Blanks:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-RARE-FORD-M ... 1809687489

Since the Ford Transit is now sold in the US many Ford dealerships and independent locksmiths now carry the equipment needed to cut Tibbe key blanks, so getting a key cut for your Scorpio is much easier than it used to be.

(Call around locally and ask about cutting a "Ford Tibbe Key")

Nice, I'll probably look into picking up a couple of these this weekend if I remember.

Its the darker of the 2 factory grays, that's all I can say for sure. Factory part # is there if anyone has access to Ford part # database to verify, the only thing the label on the box states is "GRAY".

Thanks Mike...
They look similar to the old mats I already have. Computer monitors are tricky when it comes to color.
I also wonder about how picky dealers were on mat options. You got a gray interior, here's some gray logo mats, have a nice day.

They have an E8 part #, so that's 1988 and up at least. That eliminates the lighter gray ones from 1985-1987 at least (E5 part #...)
If you have a smart phone you could look at the auction on the phone as well to get a second screen view. Outside of that the Ford part # database would be the next best bet if you had access.

Got the mats yesterday, hit both fronts with some carpet cleaner and now the driver looks as good as the passenger.
Mike shipped those suckers out fast!

Now that I have some OEM mats to compare, I've discovered that my old mats are replicas.
