Where in Michigan are you located? I'm in Kalamazoo and like to go to local car get-togethers/meets. cars and coffee once a month and usually a weekly little thing. it'd be cool to roll up 3 Merkurs deep at least once if I can get Brian to continue to come.

Order a 2wd cosworth intercooler from the uk if you can find a good one.
I got one for $140 shipped. I could not get my Merkurdepot one to work with my setup.

It should fit, I only have the shorty radiator from Merkurdepot and it fits like a glove, I am running an NPR big intercooler and it fits just perfect. I never here of nobody saying that the Merkurdepot combo do not fit. Are you using the shorty radiator? Have your car been in a front accident and maybe have a bend on the front?

It did physically fit, I just wasn't happy with the performance.
Although many others have used it with success.

So pretty excited, my front brake adapters just showed up. I should have some good pic coming up :D

also ordered a saab 900 rad and the 2wd cossie intercooler :headbang

are there any threads out there about the hoses and part #s to use for the rad?

another thing what are people using off the turbo into the intercooler? I was thinking of cutting the oem pipe down and putting a 90* silicon hose on it, but I have seen some people that have a metal pipe with a smooth bend right off the turbo. Are they buying those or making them?

Those are options, as well as getting a compressor housing from one of the other Turbo Fords (or the aftermarket0 which has a straight hose connection, and no flange.

I was looking at intercooler pipping this morning and came across something I thought was a great way to do it. Has anyone else tried this? And does this mean intercoolers are non directional?

Most are essentially non-directional, as long as the inlets/outlets are the same size. An example of one commonly used "backwards" is the Porsche 944T IC.

Interestingly, this "crossover" config was used by Andy Rouse, as well as by our own Randy Schilz, IIRC. There's a little extra length to the pipes, but the bends are less severe... and no more length than a lot of IC setups use. It's also pretty easy to fab up in most situations.
