Carlisle Bound?

Post by Merkur »

Having run the XR this weekend up here in the frozen north, thoughts turn to attending my 21st Ford Nationals at Carlisle.

Who else is going? Have you made your reservations? Looking forward to seeing everyone and spending the weekend looking at great cars.

I will be going this year as a merkur. Anyone having a Congo line heading up there?

You should start a thread about a VA-originated convoy. There has been one in the past. The challenge is always in getting everyone to agree on a start time.

The Northern NJ convoy will be leaving Thursday morning at 8AM. At least that's what I'm boldly suggesting for now. :)

After too many years missed, I'll be going this year. This will be my 8th time.

The VA convoy was great in the past! meeting up in Leesburg or Winchester. However, I really doubt there are many daily drivers and/or even cars around this area anymore...

Well I am willing to convoy up with you. There are a few merkurs in my area, 3 or 4. Not sure if any of them are on the forum.

I've met up with the VA convoy in the past when it came thru MD. Let me know if it happens.

8AM Thursday! Sounds like that Northern NJ Convoy will be stopping at a few U Pull & Pays along the way. :D

Perhaps. We've also stopped at small rural airports for lunch in the past. Might have to do a section hike of the AT one of these years.

I am leaving just outside of Philly Friday morning. We could meet on the turnpike.
