17x8 wheel suggestions

Post by GPz11 »

Folks,

I'm looking for something similar to Sparco Pro Corsa in light grey like these.

https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCl ... toModClar=

However, they're no longer available in light grey.

I'm currently running Fox Mustang 17x8 and 17x10 but the offsets are all wrong and I'm tired of the rubbing.

I'm planning on running 225/45/17 and 245/40/17

I've been searching all over but haven't found anything. Prefer something in silver / light grey.

Was hoping someone here might have some ideas.

https://18racing.myshopify.com/search?p ... 780++4x108

You'll have to run a 5mm-10mm spacer for the 40mm offset, but it's pretty much the best option I have found for 4x108 17x8 wheels. I've been thinking about the Reece.

The other option is the ESM DTM style wheel. I believe they have a 17x8 et30 in 4x108.

None of these are like the Sparco wheel. I haven't found anything like that style in 4x108. Another option might be to have a set of 4x114 wheels redrilled and inserted for 4x108.

Thanks! Yeah, I've seen those rims in my searching.

I'm going to break down and do the Scorpio hub conversion so the wheel options open up considerably. It'll be a winter project now.

Also forgot to mention, ESR wheels will do custom bolt patterns for $25/wheel.

what about the fifteen52 tarmacs(or turbomac):

I guess they aren't very similar in style but may get you closer to the specs you want.

Yup, I've spent some time on their site. They do make some nice bits.

amazon had some 17x8 Rota Grid wheels in 40 offset. they're light and reputable enough even though they are replicas. I bought a set for my car. yeah they're black... but you can always paint them. they don't normally make those wheels in our bolt pattern so if they're still available check them out. 600ish bucks for the set.

I'm looking at getting 17x8 wheels soon. Just wondering, outside of spacers, is there anything else needed or need done to the car? Some people were saying only coilovers would fit these wheels. I'm looking at those rota wheels.

You'll need spacers to get the wheel and tire not to contact the strut body. If you stick with a tire with an overall height less than 24.3"ish, then you wont have an issue of the tire contacting the spring perch on non-coilover setups.

Does anyone have wheel and tire sizes if one converts over to coilovers? Wondering how much more clearance you would get with that.

I’m running 17x8 et35 with coil overs but I also switched to the Scorpio hubs.
