Aftermarket Pedal box?

Post by Spaldino »

Looking for some insight into upgrading the pedals in my car. I have huge feet (14 EEEE) and would like the pedal spacing, especially between the gas and brake pedals, to be wider. What have you guys done about this in the past? Any tricks or pedals from other vehicles that can be adapted... or do I go the full aftermarket "racing" pedal box route?

Thank you in advance!

IIRC, wide-tunnel cars (like your '88) have the gas and brake a little closer together than the earlier, narrow-tunnel versions. Most of us like this, but (and here is a question put to the group), perhaps in your case, an Early pedal cluster may be better? Will it even work?

Looks like I had it backwards, then-- so if the wider spacing on the late cluster isn't enough, an aftermarket set may be necessary. Have no idea as to spacing or possible adjustability on any of those.
