Kalamazoo, MI. I was half serious because i know you're kind of far away but i don't need AC in my car and if i can delete it without having to do the work myself, that would be fantastic, haha.

Duracool use have anything to do with condensor failure? (Likely not, but I wondered...).

I wouldn’t think that Duracool would do anything bad, we would have heard about it before now in the age of interwebbiness. The leak is where the U-tubes come out, lots of surface area to leak through. You can see the oil tracer, at least it was easy to diagnose.

If/when I replace my condenser, I will go to an aftermarket, dual-pass, shorter unit that will be new, more efficient, and allow the FMIC to be both unobstructed, and mounted farther forward, which will give more clearance for the piping and such, like one of these from this Phoenix-based company:

Thanks to Blugg I have a condenser on the way, always grear to deal with. He reminds me of my best high school girlfriends, fast, cheap and easy!
