Well, as my Dad told me one time, its OK to have illusions of grandeur, but not delusions... Those MK2 lenses do look taller, tho.

Ed, did the stock grille opening/panel not work with the Euro lights?

Yes. I painted it to match the Euro light hockey sticks.

YMMV

No bulkhead surgery required, as with the XR conversion?

john keefe wrote: Sat Sep 08, 2018 2:08 pm That actually looks like it would be a nice fit. Are your stock F-150 lights plastic, and you want to go with glass?
The F-150 headlights of that era are indeed very similar to most Fords of the era - plastic junk. So yes, the Disco headlights are nice glass Carellos. I should actually compare them to the stock Scorpio headlights. Hang on, hold my beer....

Holy crap, the Disco headlights are 10.25" x 7.25" - almost exactly the same as the US Scorpio headlights! Of course the Scorpio headlights are designed to be mounted at an angle whereas the truck headlights are pretty much straight up. How funny would it be to have Land Rover headlights on both my truck and Scorpio!?

So, I made a template of the Sierra lenses and overlaid them on the Scorpio light(s), and it's a fit height wise, but about 1.5" short on width. Looks like angling from vertical is about the same, but there's that gap to the hood and grille. Don't have any idea how the bulkhead/bucket would work to fit. Seems it would need something creative to "fill" in the gap between the inside border of the lens, and the turn-down of the hood/grille. Maybe a custom, slick extra intake nozzle or such to take the space, as long as it looks like it's supposed to be them...

IOW, doesn't look practical.

Maybe lop off the turn-down, and make a custom, elongated Sierra Cosworth grille opening to fit? LOL

Glass Scorpio lights and assorted trim in LHD.

No muss, no fuss, bolt-in, and very reasonably priced:

I won't swear to it but I believe the base model Sierra Mk2 hatchback headlights are different than the Mk2 4-door.
They look taller to me. Not sure if its an illusion or a delusion.
The mk2 hatchback and mk2 4-door have exactly the same headlights. The whole front of the car is the same.

It must be the different (longer) hood and the lack of a grille that gives the illusion they are taller.

I just saw that same car on a tv commercial for Extra Mint Gum. I was like hey a Scorpio. You only see it for a second then the green pack of Gum on the screen. Same ad most likely in 7 different languages. I will look closer next time to see if it's LHD or RHD.

I think it is a 4-door Sierra Sapphire. And it is LHD.
